Dear,

My group is about to start CLM simulations for ISIMIP3, and we have some questions which need to be clarified before starting. We appreciate your help :)
In the ISIMIP3 protocol, the land use time-series data should be based on the HYDE 3.2 data set (Klein Goldewijk, 2016), but harmonized by Hurtt et al. (LUH2 v2h data set; see: Hurtt, Chini, Sahajpal, Frolking, & et al, 2020; https://luh.umd.edu).
Then I checked the input landuse time-series files with the resolution 360x720cru in https://svn-ccsm-inputdata.cgd.ucar.edu/trunk/inputdata/lnd/clm2/surfdata_map/, and found that it is not clear to us that which historical and projected land use rawdata you were using. It seems that MODIS data from 1901-2005 were used?
In the rawdata directory: https://svn-ccsm-inputdata.cgd.ucar.edu/trunk/inputdata/lnd/clm2/rawdata/, i saw some pftcftdynharv data from LUH2 so I guess it is possible for us to create our own landuse time-series in case the existing ones are not really based on LUH2.
Could you please share with us the link where can we find the full description of these files, and in case we need to create them all by ourselves, could you please also provide some suggestions?
Thank you very much!

Sincerely,
Yi
