Horizontal and vertical friction terms in CAM momentum equation

Hello,We are analyzing the terms in the momentum equations of CAM5.3, but have difficulties identifying the form of the horizontal and vertical friction (viscosity) term. It seems that friction arises in shallow and deep parameterizations as well as in vertical_diffusion_trend suite rather than in the dynamic core, and I cannot find a clear formula of friction terms in the scientific description of CAM5.Any advice would be most welcomed!
