How do I find the default files used by my CESM run?

I would like to check/verify that I know what files are being used in my run - is there a place where the file paths are output? I've checked the atm.log and cesm.log files for my run but don't see anything. As an example, I am interested in knowing the SO2 external forcing file(s) used by my run, as well as the prescribed volcanic aerosol (prescribed_volcaero_file namelist option).

Hi, I think the files you are looking for are in your case directory, sub directory "Buildconf" and named "cam.input_data_list". There are similar files for the land model "ctsm.input_data_list", and other components, depending on your compset. I'm going to transfer this question to the CAM forums as well, as this is more of an atmosphere specific request than a general CESM question. Thanks! Kate

The atm.log* file should contain information assuming the run initializes successfully.

Another good sanity check is to run "preview_namelists" and then evaluating atm_in in $CASEDIR/CaseDocs/
