When atm is coarser than ocean, say atm is 2 deg and ocean is 0.1 deg, how is wind stress calculated? Is the atm surface velocity interpolated to 0.1 deg and wind stress is calculated from the relative winds or is the ocean surface velocity smoothed to 2 deg and the wind stress is calculated and then wind stress is interpolated to 0.1 deg ?
