Dear CAM users,
I want to run the CAM3.0 using the Slab Ocean Model. But in the user`s Guide, section 2.3.2, it tell me that I should 'define surface flux balance information from a control run which was done with prescribed ice and SSTs'.
I want to know that, in general, how long should the control run take that would be optimum for the surface flux balance information defined?
Another question is what do the 'firstfile_fromcontrolrun' and 'lastfile_fromcontrolrun' mean in the command line :
"./defineqflux -f firstfile_fromcontrolrun -l lastfile_fromcontrolrun -s sst.nc -v"
I mean what are the files 'firstfile_fromcontrolrun' and 'lastfile_fromcontrolrun' refer to in the output of control run.
Any of your answer would help me greatly.
Thanks in advance!
