how model read surf+landusetimeseries data in clm

Hi, all,
I recently prepare landusetimeseries data for offline simulation,
but I have some confusion of how model read surf/landusetimeseries data,

for example, I have landusetimeseries data from 1850-2015, and surf data at 1850,
then I change the content of PCT_CROP and PCT_CFT of landusetimeseries 1850-2015,
do i need to keep landusetime.PCT_CROP[0] (i mean in 1850) = surf_1850.PCT_CROP by also change the content of PCT_CROP in surf-1850?

Not sure how the model use landcovers in surfdata if I alrady set landusetimeseries data...
Besides, there is only PCT_URBAN, PCT_LAKE,PCT_CROP in landusetimeseries data, not PCT_Glacier, PCT_WETLAND, PCT_NATVEG...(they
only existed in surfdata). I thought model even need to read these data from surfdata, right?

Thanks for the reply. My question is should I keep the
PCT_CROP at year of1850 in surfdata and landusetimeseries data(I mean PCT_CROP in 1850) the same value?

I admit that I am not certain, so I think you should make a first attempt and see if it works. If you find that it doesn't work, then make a second attempt and see if that works.
