How to add source of anthropogenic water vapour

Hi, I am trying to add a source of anthropogenic water vapour in CLM without changing any other variables. I was thinking about adding this value to the variable qflx_evap_tot in the clm_driver function, but I don't want any other variables to be modified. Do you know if there is a better way to add a source of water vapour or if this would give me the correct results ? Thanks!
