Dear friends,
I have run a 7-years case using CESM 1.2.0 FC5 compset but changed the CAM_CONFIG_OPTS into "-phys cam5 -chem trop_mam7". I want to check whether the annual average global total emission and deposition amounts of each kind of aerosol are the same or balanced. Using dust aerosol as an example, the variables of emission, dry deposition and wet deposition I used were DSTSFMBL,dst_a5DDF and dst_a7DDF and dst_a5SFWET and dst_a7SFWET, respectively. Unfortunately, the emission was much larger than the sum of dry and wet deposition with values of 3434.7 and 2821.6 Tg/y, respectively, which was unreasonable! And my NCL's script is in the attachment which was named as NCL1.
And I suspected that the variables I used for dry and wet deposition might wrong. Then I tried to caculate the dry and wet deposition using dst_a5DTQ and dst_a5WET and dst_a7DTQ and dst_a7WET instead, but the results were almost the same. And the NCL's script is in the attachment which was named as NCL2.
So I hope that someone could help me to find out whether the variables I used were wrong or there might be some mistakes in the NCL scripts in attachment. Actually I was confused by this for several days!
Thanks a lot in advance, and best wishes for you!
