Please see our Wiki page on changing emissions:
Hi Rebecca,

I am also changing emissions. The model ran in an FCnudged compset in 2019.

I tried to use ssp370 emission for most species except for monthly anthropogenic black carbon emission from CAMS. I set srf_emis_type = 'INTERP_MISSING_MONTHS' for interpolation.

I am not sure if INTERP_MISSING_MONTHS will read bc anthropogenic data by month serially. Otherwise, shall I need to change all emissions from CAMS to use monthly data and set srf_emis_type = 'SERIAL'?

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Best,
Yuan

Hi Yuan,

"INTERP_MISSING_MONTHS" will work with CAMS emissions. It will still read in the data daily or monthly if you have it available at that time resolution. You will need the "INTERP_MISSING_MONTHS" implemented for the other ssp370 files, because those emission files have time gaps that need to be interpolated by the model. The model will only interpolate where there are gaps.

Hope that helps!
Rebecca
