dear all
I create a point case 1850_DATM%GSWP3v1_CLM50%BGC_SICE_SOCN_MOSART_SGLC_SWAV for parameter sensitivity test . I changed flnr but the results of NPP does not change. I think it is not normal . This parameter is critical Photosynthetic parameters. So I guess the LUNA model is not on. Can anyone help me?

You can check whether LUNA is on by looking at the value of "use_luna" in the lnd_in namelist file.
However, flnr is only used in SP (satellite phenology) mode and then only for C4 plants or C3/C4 crops.

dear oleson
thank you for your reply. I also want to ask another question. I have a soil dataset . But it just has eight layers. I know the model's surfdata has ten layers. Can I modify it with my own dataset? I do not know if it is right to just replace with my own dataset. Should I modify other things for it ?

There actually are 25 layers in CLM5 soils, 20 of which are hydrologically/thermally active. The bottom 5 layers are bedrock. There is also a depth to bedrock dataset that can potentially further limit the number of active layers (look for the variable zbedrock on the surface dataset).

You would need to interpolate your own dataset to the layer configuration in CLM.
