How to compute Urban Surface temperature in CLM5?

Hi all,

Urban surface temperature is represented as "TG_U" in history files, I wonder how to estimate "TG_U" in CLM5. Is "TG_U" derived from the weighted average of ground temperature on five urban subsurface (roof, sunlit/shaded wall, impervious/pervious road) ?

Thanks a lot for any suggestions!

Yes, it is a weighted average of TG for the five urban surfaces.
