How to convert black carbon mass mixing ratio (kg/kg) to mass concentration (ug/m3) in CAMS dataset.

The reanalysis data CAMS at different model levels has black carbon mass mixing ratio(given by hydrophilic and hydrophobic), and I want to get the total mass concentration of black carbon (hydrophilic + hydrophobic), here are my calculations:
  1. convert from kg/kg to kg/m3 for both hydrophilic and hydrophobic: by multiplying the air density at the corresponding level.
  2. convert from kg/m3 to ug/m3 for both hydrophilic and hydrophobic: by multiplying 10^9.
  3. compute the total BC mass concentration: add the hydrophilic and hydrophobic together.
Are these steps right? Appreciate so much for your reply!!
