How to create a model_meshfile for a simulation with 0.23*0.31 deg resolution?

What version of the code are you using?
CTSM5.2.005

Have you made any changes to files in the source tree?

No

Describe every step you took leading up to the problem:
./create_newcase --case ~/CTSM5.2.005EAC_3/cime/scripts/JoyceCase/I2000BgcCrop.f02_g17.Spinup_Test01 --compset I2000Clm50BgcCrop --res f02_g17 --project UIUC0056 --run-unsupported

./case.setup

./xmlchange STOP_OPTION=ndays,STOP_N=1,RESUBMIT=0,JOB_WALLCLOCK_TIME=1:00:00

./xmlchange DATM_YR_ALIGN=2000,DATM_YR_START=2000,DATM_YR_END=2000

In the user_nl_clm, set the fsurdat as a 0.23*0.31 deg surface data, which is provided by my colleague.

After I submit the simulation, the job was aborted with an error message "model_meshfile UNSET does not exist".

Describe your problem or question:
The model_meshfile and model_maskfile are set automatically if it is a simulation with 1 deg resolution. However, for 0.23*0.31 resolution, both of them are UNSET.

I looked through the path: "/glade/campaign/cesm/cesmdata/inputdata/share/meshes/", and there are no mesh files for 0.23*0.31 resolution. I wonder where I can find such mesh files, or is there any tool or code that I can use to generate these mesh and mask files.

Thanks!
