How to create my own PFT data for the CLM

Hi every one, I want to create my own PFT data for the CLM, I have a binary file with 17 plant types, 360 latitude uniform grids  and 720 longtitude uniform grids. The plant types of the file is the same as NCAR's. I have no idea about it. Could somebody give me any suggestions? Thanks in advance
