how to increase the input sst over a specified region

Dear CAM 3.0 users,

I want to run CAM 3.0 by increasing the SST over a specified region (not over the whole earth), by 1K and then use it as the input initial condition. If any of you have tried something similar or could provide pointers in this regard, it would be of great help.

Do you use NCL? I've done some CAM source file manipulation using NCL, and I could send you a bit of code if you're familiar with the language. It's actually pretty simple.
