How to make history file at the initial time

Hello,

I would like to run CAM4 alone, and make history file at the initial time.

For example, if I run CAM4, starting at 00 UTC 1 January 2020 for 10 days, I would like to obtain a history file at the initial time (i.e., 00 UTC 1 January).

If I set nhtfrq=-1, then I can obtain a history file after 1-h integration (i.e., 01 UTC 1 January), but no history file at the initial time.

Could you give me some advices on this issue?

Thank you for your kind help!

CSEG and Liaisons
For all output frequencies except monthly, the very first time sample in the history file is for nstep=0. This corresponds to an intermediate state between the initial conditions and the results of the first complete timestep. It will contain changes that have been made by the convective adjustment physics in subroutine tphysbc. And if you are running with the FV dycore there will also be a dynamic time step in the nstep=0 output.
