How to output the diffusion terms

Hi, there

I am using CESM1 and would like to do the term balance for the temperature and salinity in POP2.
For the diffusion terms, I cannot calculate office based on the monthly output. I am wondering if any one
can help to direct me how to add the output of diffusion terms (the monthly mean) in the monthly output.
Many thanks in advance.

Best
W

Wei Liu,
Please see the POP2 FAQ and read all the sections that address the "tavg" files: http://www.cesm.ucar.edu/models/cesm1.2/pop2/doc/faq/If the terms you want are not already supported in the POP2 code, then you will need to follow the instructions in the developers' questions sectionhttp://www.cesm.ucar.edu/models/cesm1.2/pop2/doc/faq/#dev_tavg_add3Please read all of the sections in the FAQ on the topic of the "tavg" files. Together, these Q&As should provide you with all of the information you need to add the terms you want to the time-averaged history output files.-- N
