How to run off-line meteorology for CAM5

Is CLM still active when running with offline meteorology? Does it matter because the model-predicted fields are overwritten by off-line data at each time step?Thanks!

Hi,I am running off-line meteorology for CAM5 using cesm1.2.0 with compset FC5,I do not need to change USE_ESMF_LIB,  is it right ?and I just keep that setting be defaulted as follows,

If you run with meteorology that was produced by the model, you don't need to change the calendar setting, but if you run with MERRA or GEOS5 fields, you would have to change it, Simone

I got it, Thank you very much. I have some other questions:1) I run CESM_1.2.0 on my platform and I have got MERRA and GEOS5 Meteorological field，how could I get bnd_topo files for their fields?2) as mentioned above, FC5 is running MAM3 chemistry, where could I find the  IC file for the off line run ?  if only CAM-Chem IC file can be used,how many years needed to spin up the aerosol tracers?Thank you!
