How to speed-up CAM5 standalone run on a cray machine

I am running CAM5 standalone version coupled with CLM on a cray supercomputer (DOE machine at NERSC). The computational speed is really slow. It took about 400sec to finish 9-hour integration, while for CAM3.5 it only takes about 40 sec to finish 9-hour integration in the same machine. i have turned off the chemistry package in CAM5.

I wonder whether someone knows how I can speed up CAM5. I really appreciate any of your suggestions.
