Hi,

When I ran CLM5.0 globally, I got NaN value of TLAI in some locations. I am considering to run the model from start point and turn on debug mode.

I am not sure when the debug mode is turned on, whether there will be any information related to how these NaN values are generated output to the log file.

The second question is how to turn on the debug mode ?

Thanks for offering any helpful instruction.

Sincerely,

erik

It is recommended to try running with the env_build.xml variable DEBUG=TRUE (after cleaning the entire build and rerunning it) to look into this generation of NaN's (Not a Number). The NaN indicates there was a mathematical calculation done on a bad value. Running in DEBUG mode might help you fine out where.

Some notes on doing this are here...
