Ice vertical thermo error in SP-CAM

We are currently attempting to run a multi-instance version of SP-CAM in an F_AMIP compset but using RCP 4.5 boundary condition files (grid = f19_g16).  The model runs for 5 to 6 months but then crashes with an ice vertical thermo error:  125: Starting thermo, Tsn < Tmin 125: Tsn=  -102.651310801067 125: Tmin=  -100.000000000000 125: istep1, my_task, i, j:           5           1          34          50 125: qsn  -181843378.470526 125: istep1, my_task, iblk =           5           1           2 125: Global block:          28 125: Global i and j:         161         369 125: Lat, Lon:   89.0677102300202        315.084347810016 125:(shr_sys_abort) ERROR: ice: Vertical thermo error Interestingly, we used this same simulation setup for "regular" SP-CAM and it ran without any such errors.   I found this previous thread that is somewhat related: https://bb.cgd.ucar.edu/potential-temperature-problem-crashes-model-ice-component and I tried re-running the simulation with ATM_NCPL set to 96 instead of 48 in env_run.xml  but I still hit the same ice vertical thermo error. Any ideas? Thanks,Mark Branson
