Implement of initial conditions

Hello CESM users/Team,

I'm a beginner in CESM-CAM5, I want to do simulation for a specific month like January 2000. I want your recommendations so I can implement initial conditions in the CESM_1_2_2 code. Please suggest the following:

--- how can implement initial conditions?
--- Where do I need to change in the cesm_1_2_2?
--- I consider the January month 2000 simulation.
--- how can I prepare .nc file for January month 2000 simulation? how can I define the path for this inial condition?

The simulation details which I am working on as following.
"Model: CAM5
Resolution: ~1 Deg
SST: Climatological
Time: 1 simulation for January
Output
Store monthly as well as daily PRECT and Tas variables.
".

I assume that you want to change the cam initial condition file. From what you describe you could use the initial condition file coming out by default with a cesm-cam5 experiment.

You could use the FC5 compset in CESM_1_2_2. This is a compset representative of present-day condition.
