Is there an alternative to the ncks command?

I want to use my own atm forcing data for generating the corresponding grid files. However, I lack the ncks command and cannot download it temporarily, which prevents me from generating the atm_scrip.nc file. Could anyone suggest a reliable alternative solution?

@kylin there may exist a specific alternative that someone else may recommend. Meanwhile though, I will simply mention the more generic response that you can generate and/or modify netcdf files with python, fortran, matlab, ncl, and likely other languages. This would require you to write such programs yourself though.
