Dear colleagues,
Recently we have developed an online Lagrangian tracking of sea ice in CICE. The module is mainly targeted for diagnostic purposes such as the sea ice dynamics, and it is mainly introduced in the GMD paper here: Lagrangian tracking of sea ice in Community Ice CodE (CICE; version 5) .
After discussion with colleagues, we are encouraged to contribute it to the CICE community. We recently have adapted it to CICE6, and the current version supports the deployment of virtual buoys (i.e., Lagrangian points) and has been used for the study of spatial and temporal scaling of sea ice deformations. If this module is of interest to any of you, pls let us know. And we are preparing the submission, formal testing, and documentation in the coming weeks.
