Mapping problem

I had created both conservative and bilinear mappings between atm and ocn.But I don't know how to make a conservative mapping from river to ocn.
Any one can tell me some information about the river gird???

thanks

River transport model is part of CLM . it runs at 0.5 degree resolution and at greater timestep than clm, it routes runoff to neighbouring downstream cell . this direction is decided based on river direction map(rdirc) , which can be generated by calculating topography slopes but one should take care of loops which result from plains etc..
I have a code for generating map please send me a mail to suvarchal@caos.iisc.ernet.in
