I am running experiment using fully coupled CESM2.1.5. The model runs fine with the default B1850G configuration. I want to conduct an experiment with prescribed Antarctic sea ice (2000-2100). I changed the Antarctic sea ice and associated fluxes passed to coupler and run with B1850G. After running for about 30 years, the model crashed with an error:
Then I changed the Jint_Fetot_thres to 0.951E-015 and continue run the simulation, but it exceeds the new threshhold after about 20 years:
I am not sure why this error occurs, since I did not change any variables related to iron. Would it be reasonable to relax Jint_Fetot_thres further (e.g., to 0.951E-013) in order to continue the run? Any suggestions would be very helpful. Thanks a lot!
