Dear everyone, I want to modify the parameterization scheme of soil moisture characteristic curve, but the following error occurred during operation. Currently, I have checked the physical equations and transfer functions of the scheme, and the actual calculation is within a reasonable range of the default model. I have tried using modules and directly writing them in Soilwatermovement, but the same error occurred. But I cannot find the cause of the error. If there is a reason for the error to occur, or if I trace the specific cause of the error, I would greatly appreciate it!1716907723939.png

The main modifications are 1544-1555 for soilwatermovement, with errors displayed in the logs of lnd and cesm

One suggestion is to simply your troubleshooting either by turning off the methane model explicitly (use_lch4=.false. in your user clm), use a simpler model mode such as SP instead of BGC or BGC-Crop, and run at coarser spatial resolution, even single-point. Another suggestion is to compile and run in DEBUG mode.

Thank you. It worked. I have identified the problem and am actively working to resolve it. Thank you again for your reply
