modify the drainage rate for water in melt ponds

Hi there,

I would like to modify the drainage rate for water in melt ponds and do some sensitivity study using 1-D icepack model. I would like to consult about which variable should I modify. I read the documentation and my understanding is that I probably need to modify variables in thermo_nml including,
a_rapid_mode = 0.5e-3
Rac_rapid_mode = 10.0
aspect_rapid_mode = 1.0
dSdt_slow_mode = -1.5e-7
phi_c_slow_mode = 0.05
phi_i_mushy = 0.85

Which variables should I modify so I can complete my tasks of modifying the drainage rate for water in melt ponds? Many thanks in advance.

If you are using ktherm=2, then there are options to change the drainage. Have a look at the Icepack documentation here:

2.7. Thermodynamics — Icepack documentation

In particular, have a look under the salinity updates section.
