MOM6 ocean_only forcing method

I have a problem that when I use the MOM6 ocean_only. Is the forcing dataset directly provided in the ocean_only directory generated based on the CORE dataset? I am planning to first conduct a CORE-I experiment to reach a quasi-equilibrium state, and then perform a CORE-II experiment to approximate realistic conditions. Should I download the data inside CORE.tgz? Currently, I am running the global_ALE experiment inside ocean_only.

Another question is: when using reanalysis data for forcing, can I use the JRA55 reanalysis data covering 1958–2020? If this is possible, how can I make the model automatically cycle through the forcing data?
