I have a question, please answer. My question is:
Is it possible to get output from 2005 to 2006 on a monthly basis with FXSD compset and with F19_F19 resolution?

What version of the model are you using here? The monthly output should be on by default in CAM. I would highly recommend you read this.

I use cesm version 2.2. Yes, I used to output with cesm model, but this is the first time I want to output with fxsd compset. There is a case that when I type the case.submit command, MERRA2 data is downloaded, and this data seems to have only some years and months, which does not include 2005 and 2006 and many other years. And unfortunately I get an error that the year you want to output doesn't exist at all.

I am moving this to the CAM forum. I think this is just an issue with the "historical" period you are definining. Sounds like MERRA2 does not have these years. Perhaps a different dataset.
