Hello!
I am a New Student who is working on making climate simulations for 1) 1850s pre-industrial run, and 2) 4 times CO2 run. Both of my simulations are coming across an MPT Error code 1001 (as shown attached photo below). Files paths:
1) ' cd /glade/u/home/nkravette/plio_forcing/f.e12.B1850.f09_f09.plio.piSST.001 '
2) ' cd /glade/u/home/nkravette/plio_forcing/f.e12.B1850.f09_f09.plio.piSST.001.co2 '
File path for 4xCO2 simulation error: ' vi /glade/scratch/nkravette/f.e12.B1850.f09_f09.plio.piSST.001.co2/run/cesm.log.231120-221342 '.

I have tried a couple different ways to fix my simulations, but they all seem to be failing. I replaced my env_mach_pes.xml as it seemed to be in the wrong place and had the numbers off. This worked better but still failed (file path: ' vi /glade/u/home/nkravette/plio_forcing/f.e12.B1850.f09_f09.plio.piSST.001.co2.env_mach_pes.xml '). This appeared to make progress with node size and the configuration of the system. However, I am unsure if by replace my env_mach_pes.xml this caused problems with all of my other files not exactly fitting in. I also tried to make sure I had cesm1.2.2 downloaded in the hopes that would help.

The script I used to make my 4xCO2 simulation is from this script: ' vi /glade/u/home/nkravette/plio_forcing/make_f_co2.pi.csh '.

My goal is to run both of these simulations successfully so I can start analyzing them. Thank you so much for your help and consideration. Any help is appreciated as I am still trying to learn the ropes! :)

Both cases exceeded the allowed wallclock time:

Fri Nov 24 23:59:58 MST 2023 -- CSM EXECUTION BEGINS HERE
=>> PBS: job killed: walltime 18086 exceeded limit 18000

Fri Nov 24 23:57:38 MST 2023 -- CSM EXECUTION BEGINS HERE
=>> PBS: job killed: walltime 18088 exceeded limit 18000

This is cesm1.2 and is not a supported code base - if you are a new student why are you not using cesm2?
