NTASKS and NTHREADS

Hi All,

This is more a general question. Say you have 8 proccesors and you want a run CCSM 3 with all components fully active.

How would you define your NTASKS and NTHREADS for each of the components?

There is no good solution, since it is ristricted by the number of processors.
I would put atm 2, ocn 2, lnd 1, ice 2, cpl 1.
It should make no difference for performance for ice to be 1 or 2. atm and pop take more time than the rest of the components.

If you are running T31x3 I might try 4 ATM and 1 for each of the other components.
