nudging [U,V,T,Q] of some sparse points

Hello everyone,

Referring to the user guide (Physics modifications via the namelist — camdoc documentation), I have successfully tried to nudge for the U,V, T and Q from ERA-Interim reanalysis.

Now, I want to do a special nudging. I try to provide a better initial field for the forecast through nudging tool. But my observational data only have values at a few sparse points (rather than globally as in the reanalysis data mentioned above). I want to provide a more accurate initial field for the model by nudging U,V,T and Q of these sparse points.

What should I do? Could you please give me some advice?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Joey
