The CCSM software engineering group does not maintain CCSM pop I/O benchmarks at this time. pop I/O performance varies considerably, depending on the characteristics of the machine you are running on, model resolution, and the number of processors you assign to the pop model. At the present time, there is an I/O performance degradation at high processor counts; we expect this performance to improve when parallel I/O is implemented in the CCSM pop model at some point in the future.
