Does anybody know where the data about orographic height is in CCSM3.0? Or, how to create the orographic height in CCSM3.0?

But if I want to change the orographic height in some regions, what can I do? Please help!

You need to edit the topo boundary file and change the PHIS variable ( =10*surface height ) to the desired values. Netcdf commands ncdump and ncgen are useful for this.

Of course you should be careful as there are also variables related to the grid-box standard deviation of the surface height which will remain the same (SGH30, SGH). You could change these as well.
