Simply divide the field PHIS by 'g' (~9.8 m s-1).

You need to edit the topo boundary file and change the PHIS variable ( =10*surface height ) to the desired values. Netcdf commands ncdump and ncgen are useful for this.

Of course you should be careful as there are also variables related to the grid-box standard deviation of the surface height which will remain the same (SGH30, SGH). You could change these as well.
