I want to know why modifying "user_nl_cam"(2.jpg) resulted in an nc file with only 11 time steps(3.jpg).

Hi,

How long are you running the model? Is it finishing (e.g. if you look at the logs, has the model completed or are there errors?)?

Hello!
I have made the following modifications to CAM: My model starts from January 1, 2010, and I want to run for 2 years, outputting the "O3" hourly values for the years 2010-2011. However, after running CESM, I found that my files only contain values for one time step. As for the log files, I am not sure where the log files from the run are located; could you please tell me?
1.jpgThe image shows the way I modified the user_nl_cam file.

Hi,

You can find the log files in the run directory (the same location as your ncdata files). They will be called cesm.log.* and <component>.log.*. If there are no log files, that means that your run did complete and they were archived.

If you find that there are log files and you're still having issues (can't figure out what went wrong), attach them here and I can help you debug.

Ok, so the model did complete without error. A couple more questions.

1. What is the name of the output file you are looking at?
2. Can you confirm your settings for STOP_N and STOP_OPTION? What is the output of:

./xmlquery STOP_N
./xmlquery STOP_OPTION
