Hi all,

Apologies if this has been answered elsewhere - I'm new to CLM5! My question is about PFT indexing. Specifically, in the variable 'natpft', which has 15 numbers in it in the land use timeseries dataset I am looking at, where do I go to see which index number corresponds to which PFT? The documentation has this table with no index:

Viewing the field 'PCT_NAT_PFT' in ncview suggests that the data included in index 0 of 'natpft' is not needleleaf evergreen trees, unless they can live both in the Sahara and underwater. Do indices 1-14 correspond to rows 1-14 in the table above? And if so, what is in index 0?

Thanks,

James
