PM 2.5 Calculations

I am currently calculating PM 2.5 for a given set of data and am including BC, SO4, NH4NO3, OC and SOA in my calculations. The modes for each of these contributors ranges from a1 to a7, representing the different aerosol size for each. I originally included only modes a1 to a5, and was wondering if anyone had some insight on whether or not I should be including all modes (a1 to a7) in my PM 2.5 calculations.
Thank you for your time and help.
