PORT in CESM1.2.2

Dear all, I'm interested in running the standalone radiation package PORT in CESM1.2.2, using CAM4 radiation. The PORT user guide (wiki.ucar.edu/display/port/PORT) states that PORT is not supported for this version of CESM owing to complications with the aerosol module MAM. However, as far as I'm aware MAM is only used in CAM5, not in CAM4 radiation. Can I conclude that it's fine to use PORT using CAM4 radiation in CESM1.2.2? Thanks for your help.

We believe PORT does work fine with CAM5 and CAM6. Unfortunately, we don't have the resources to scientifically support it but we are aware that some users have been using PORT with CAM6.Andrew Gettelman might be able to provide more info on this.
