possibility of the use (or calculation) of global mean temperature in cloud fraction code (CAM)

Hi, I am going to modify the cloud fraction (specifically subroutine ) and add new equations. Such equations need globally averaged surface temperature at each time step. I apprecate it if you let me know whether there is such variable in CAM, so that I can just call it? Although there is surface temperature (ts) variable in this subroutine, but it is only for a specific chunk, so it is not possible to calculate its global mean in the subroutine. Thank you very much, cloud fraction code:http://www.cesm.ucar.edu/models/cesm1.1/cesm/cesmBbrowser/html_code/cam/cloud_fraction.F90.html#CLOUD_FRACTION
