Problem in volcanic forcing data

Hi ,I have download the volcanic focing data (IVI2LoadingLatHeight501-2000_L18_c20100518.nc) in "https://www2.cesm.ucar.edu/models/experiments/LME/instructions“. This data contain the MMRVOLC (layer volcanic aerosol mass mixing ratio). I want to know how to convert "layer volcanic aerosol mass" to "layer volcanic aerosol mass mixing ratio". Thanks,Weiyi
