Problems of running cesm1_0_3 using surface data sets created by cesm1_2_2

Hi all,
I'm wondering is it possible that I can run CESM (cesm1_0_3 version) with BRCP85CN, T31 using the suface data set generated by mksurfdata.pl [/b]tool from cesm1_2_2?
My model seemed to failed when it was trying to read the surface data set I generated (surfdata_48x96_rcp8.5_simyr1850_cXXXXXXX.nc)Anyone has some thoughts on this?Thank youJudy
