Providing explicit LAI and vegetation height values on higher temporal resolution than monthly?

Dear all,
I'm wondering if someone of you has experience with explicit LAI and/or vegetation height (TOP_HEIGHT) values when running CLM.I learned that CLM interpolates these values from the in the input file (surfdata*.nc) given monthly values to a daily resolution. But in my case I have (at least for vegetation height) information on a higher temporal resolution and I would like to make use of it in my model runs.
So if anyone has experience and/or ideas how to do this I would appreciate it very much if you could share this with me (and also with the community)!
Thank you very much indeed in advance! Cheers,
Sven
