Hello, Working from the CLM users guide I'm trying to set up a run in PTS_MODE (http://www.cesm.ucar.edu/models/cesm1.2/clm/models/lnd/clm/doc/UsersGuide/x12817.html). In CESM v 1.2.2, create_newcase does not accept the pts_lat and pts_lon arguments described in the CLM user's guide. The within-script help message for create_newcase in CESM v 1.2.2 alludes to those options, but stops short of describing them (https://svn-ccsm-models.cgd.ucar.edu/scripts/release_tags/cesm1_2_x_n22_scripts4_140516/create_newcase):------The following two arguments turn on single point mode. If one is given -- both MUST be given.
EXAMPLES
./create_newcase -case mycase1 -res f19_g16 -compset B1850CN -mach yellowstone------This is in contrast to create_newcase for CESM v. 1.2.0, which describes pts_lat and pts_lon before EXAMPLES. Should I stick with CESM 1.2.0 to use CLM in PTS_MODE? And perhaps the v. 1.2.2 documentation or release notes and/or the CLM users guide could be updated to reflect these changes? Thanks!Tim
