Hi All,
I want to calculate q-flux corresponding to a specific period of SST, say, 1950-1959 mean SST, and then use the q-flux to force CCSM-SOM runs.
Since CCSM4 calculates q-flux from a fully-coupled run, instead of prescribed-SST CAM run, does it mean there is no place where I can pass the SST to the model.
One way I can think of is to force the model with forcings in the 1960's and hope it can reproduce the SST.
Any suggestions?
I have read the post by cfletche also on q-flux (http://forum.cgd.ucar.edu/showthread.php?1849-CCSM4-Compset-E-(SOM)-questions&highlight=q-flux). But mine seems to be a different problem.
Thanks.
