Query on Input data for Historical run(B20TR)

Hello, everyoneI am performing the fully coupled historical run from 1850 to 2000. My compset is B20TR. I  noticed that, some of the input data is time varying, say, the sst input data atm/cam/sst/sst_HadOIBl_bc_1.9x2.5_1850_2008_c100127.nc consists of 1908(12*159) months. While other senarios I have used, such as B1850, the input data contains only 12 months instead of such a long time span.  I am a new learner of climate model. So I am confused how does such a long-time-varying input data applied into the model? Or am I wrong with this experiment?Anyone who can give some hints, thank you.
