Hi,

I am working on the maize and soybean model in the US Midwest using CLM5. However, I have a quick question: what is the difference between "GDDHARV" and "GDDmat"? In the CLM5 document, "GDDmat" refers to a crop’s 20-year running mean GDD needed for vegetative and physiological maturity. Harvest occurs at 100% GDDmat. "GDDHARV" refers to the GDD required to harvest. The two variables seem to be very similar. Is my understanding right?

Thanks!

As far as I can tell, your understanding is correct, and the variables are as explained in the clm5 document.
