Question about running a regional case with regional forcing in CLM5

Dear all,

I want to run a regional case (eg. China) with my forcing data (the temperature and precipitation of CN05, while the other variables are ERA5). I found the "ERROR: One or more of the output from CLM to the coupler is NaN" in the cesm.log. I checked the consistency with my domain file and forcing data. However, I still don't know how to solve this problem. I have attached the relevant documents, and I hope to receive your help. Thanks very much!

Best wishes

I seem to remember (though I may be wrong) that the error message "One or more of the output from CLM to the coupler is NaN" may also apply to the opposite scenario, i.e. coupler to CLM. So it's possible that the NaNs are coming from the input data.

Thanks very much for your prompt reply, I will check the input data again. I think this is the reason as temperature and precipitation are the observations used. Thanks again!
