Question about unmanaged rainfed/irrigated crop

Dear Scientists,
I obtained some information from the CLM technical note:
In addition, CLM’s default list of plant functional types (PFTs) includes an irrigated and unirrigated unmanaged C3 crop (Table 2.26.1) treated as a second C3 grass. The unmanaged C3 crop is only used when the crop model is not active and has grid cell coverage assigned from satellite data, and the unmanaged C3 irrigated crop type is currently not used since irrigation requires the crop model to be active.
In my understanding, if I am running an regional SP case, since the crop model is not enabled in SP compset, I should set PFT15 (- C3 Unmanaged Rainfed Crop) as 100% for all gridcell and PFT16 (- C3 Unmanaged Irrigated Crop) as 0% in variable PCT_CFT? Am I right? Please correct me if I understood something.

I don't really see this statement anywhere in the User's Guide: and the unmanaged C3 irrigated crop type is currently not used since irrigation requires the crop model to be active.
I believe you can have irrigation on in SP mode. Do you get an error if you try turning it on?
