Questions about CESM2 CMIP6 pre-industrial run

Hi all:

I'm analyzing the CMIP6 CESM2 pre-industrial output from:

/glade/collections/cdg/timeseries-cmip6/b.e21.B1850.f09_g17.CMIP6-piControl.001/

I have two questions:

1. I know that this should be the B1850 compset, but I'm not sure which model version it is....

CESM2.0.0? CESM2.0.1? CESM2.1.0? CESM2.1.1?

2. I found initial conditions starting from different moments on Cheyenne. They seem to be in the folder:

/glade/p/cesmdata/cseg/inputdata/cesm2_init/b.e21.B1850.f09_g17.CMIP6-piControl.001/

Are those initial conditions generated from the pre-industrial run mentioned above?

My purpose is to do a sensitivity prescribed with virtual heat fluxes over a certain region and compare with the results from the CMIP6 pre-industrial run.

That run was done with CESM 2.1.0, as denoted by the "e21" part of the casename.

I'm not sure about that directory, perhaps Cecile can chime in.

All the restarts from b.e21.B1850.f09_g17.CMIP6-piControl.001 are available from

/glade/campaign/collections/cmip/CMIP6/restarts/b.e21.B1850.f09_g17.CMIP6-piControl.001

which is accessible from 'casper'.

The case directory is:
/glade/work/cmip6/cases/cesm2.1-exp003/b.e21.B1850.f09_g17.CMIP6-piControl.001
